SDCC 2017: 'Preacher' Joins AMC's 'Walking Dead', 'Fear TWD" Line-Up
So Rick Grimes, Madison Clark and Jesse Custer walk into a convention center…the San Diego Convention Center, to be precise. AMC announced that it would be bringing The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead back to Comic-Con International this year, with second-season success story Preacher joining the two in Hall H on Friday, July 21.
Having just premiered its second season earlier in the week, Preacher will actually be anchoring AMC's Hall H line-up that day, securing a 4 pm timeslot with a panel line-up including: Dominic Cooper (Jesse Custer), Ruth Negga (Tulip O'Hare), Joseph Gilgun (Cassidy), Ian Colletti (Arseface); Graham McTavish (The Saint of Killers); writer Garth Ennis; and executive producer Seth Rogen.
With an eight season and 100th episode coming-up in less than three months, The Walling Dead is expected to have stars Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier), Lennie James (Morgan Jones), Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel Stokes), Alanna Masterson (Tara Chambler), Khary Payton (King Ezekiel) and Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) in attendance for the panel. Executive producers Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert as well as showrunner Scott Gimple and creator Robert Kirkman are also expected to be panelists during the 12:15 pm program.
Hurd, Alpert, Nicotero and Kirkman will also be joining the Fear The Walking Dead panel earlier in the day, at 11:15 pm. Departing showrunner David Erickson is expected to be joining them along with cast members Kim Dickens (Madison Clark), Frank Dillane (Nick Clark), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Alicia Clark), Colman Domingo (Victor Strand), Mercedes Mason (Ofelia Salazar), Sam Underwood (Jake Otto), Daniel Sharman (Troy Otto) and Michael Greyeyes (Qaletqa Walker).
Kirkman will be a very busy man at this year's SDCC: aside from the two panels, he will also be panel-promoting his new AMC docu-series Robert Kirkman's Secret History Of Comics on July 22 in Room 6DE at 4:45 pm.
Comic-Con International run from July 20-23 at the San Diego Convention Center.
