Danhausen Has Message for Conan O'Brien, Who Praised His WWE Debut

This past week, Conan O'Brien took time on his podcast to praise WWE superstar Danhausen, and the wrestler responded in his own "very nice, very evil" way. If you're not familiar with their previous encounter, Danhansen chatted with Conan back in 2021 on his podcast minisode, Conan O'Brien Needs a Fan. The brief interview was conducted out of character while he was working for AEW, as it had been brought to his attention that parts of his persona were based on the late-night talk show host's personality. Admitting that he was influenced more by Conan than other wrestlers, which delighted O'Brien who was entertained by his dedication to "absolute idiocy."
Nearly five years later, Danhausen is in WWE, and Conan took time on his current podcast, Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, to send praise to him for making to the company, saying, "Danhausen told me that he had been grinding away for the past eight years, driving 12 hours every weekend just to be able to get up in front of people and wrestle. This is a guy who just applied an incredible work ethic to his passion. […] This is proof again that if you can marry hard work to your passion, you can go places. […] Massive congratulations and mad respect to Danhausen. I'm so proud of you, happy for you… I should just mention, because your character is based on me, I'm getting 20%."
After hearing this, Danhausen sent his own message on Instagram, to which he said, "You had a wonderful message on the rerun of the Danhausen episode where you said you were very proud, very evil of Danhausen, and that was quite nice! You're not getting 20%, but you will get this thank you message. So, thank you, Conan, thank you Sona (Movsesian), thank you (Matt) Gourley, and all the rest of the people at Team Coco who made this happen! Everyone except for Jordan Schlansky, because you… are… cursed!"
