'Doom Patrol': Get to Know Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman, Crazy Jane, and The Chief! [VIDEO]

We're two episodes deep into the first season of DC Universe's live-action Doom Patrol series, and we've had some "interesting" stuff thrown our way in a very short period of time. From a farting donkey that's also a gateway to another dimension and a hero with multiple (super-powered) personalities to a fourth-wall-shattering "big bad" in Alan Tudyk's Mr. Nobody who puts Deadpool to shame – that's a lot to take in, so occasionally some important stuff might get missed.

Like the backstories on "The World's Strangest Superheroes"? But no need to worry, our fine freaky friends! The folks at DC Daily are offering viewers a refresher course on all things Doom Patrol. So if you need to catch up on how our twisted titans – Rita Farr aka Elasti-Woman, Kay Challis aka Crazy Jane, Victor Stone aka Cyborg, Cliff Steele aka Robotman, Larry Trainor aka Negative Man, and Dr. Niles Caulder aka The Chief – came to be, sit right back and set the following video to the 2:05 mark for the "411" before this Friday's new "911":

DOOM PATROL is a re-imagining of one of DC's most beloved group of outcast Super Heroes: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman and Crazy Jane, led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief). The Doom Patrol's members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities — but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence — and to protect Earth from what they find.

Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of super-powered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Picking up after the events of TITANS, DOOM PATROL will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with a warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same.

A reimagining of the superhero DC characters originally written and drawn by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, and Bruno Premiani, DC Universe's Doom Patrol is written by series creator Jeremy Carver (Supernatural, Being Human), who executive produces alongside Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, and Berlanti Productions' Sarah Schechter. Warner Bros. Television produces in association with Berlanti Productions.
