FOX Renews 'The Exorcist' For A 2nd Season

FOX has announced that they are renewing freshmen horror drama The Exorcist for a second season according to Variety. The show, which is a remake of the classic horror movie, hasn't been doing great with the ratings but is apparently well liked by executives according to insiders. The show is also stuck in Friday nights which is a notoriously hard time slate to do and has averaged 0.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 1.9 million viewers.

FOX has renewed Empire, Gotham, Lethal Weapon, Lucifer, Star and The X-Files.

Summary: Two priests must save a family who are being terrorized by a demonic presence in their home.
