Gotham Season 4: Jeremiah Valeska has Plans for His Best Friend

There were big things happening last week with Jeremiah Valeska on Gotham, things that could have huge ramifications going forward as we move into the last two episodes of the season. As of right now, the fate of the series has not yet been announced, but the writers are moving forward with the idea of big changes for a fifth season if they get one. A new clip has been released, but it definitely has spoilers so be warned.

Gotham Season 4: Jeremiah Valeska has Plans for His Best Friend

Last week we found out that Jeremiah (Cameron Monaghan) was hit with the insanity gas, and while he isn't acting as overtly crazy as Jerome was, his plans are just as dangerous for the city of Gotham as he used his new friendship with Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) to build a series of bombs he plans on setting off around the city.  He tested out the first bomb in his bunker where he had tricked James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) into going to. Now everyone thinks that Gordon is dead and Jeremiah has captured Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) and is using him against Bruce… though he still insists that Bruce is his best friend.

We found out last week that this episode, One Bad Day, is supposed to be their take on the classic Batman graphic novel, The Killing Joke. Not the shooting Barbara Gordon past of it, but the Joker trying to drive Gordon insane part. How much the episode will mirror the Alan Moore and Brian Bolland story remains to be seen as the following week is the season finale that they're calling No Man's Land.

Gotham airs Thursday at 8 PM on Fox.
