Kite Man: Hell Yeah! Trailer: Where No One Cares to Know Your Name
Arriving July 18th, here's the official trailer for Dean Lorey & Katie Rich's Matt Oberg-starring "Harley Quinn" spinoff Kite Man: Hell Yeah!
If there was ever a time for some quality animated madness to distract us from the real world, now would be that time. Okay, maybe this isn't now – it's actually July 18th – but it's still nice to be getting an extended look at Dean Lorey & Katie Rich's Matt Oberg-starring "Harley Quinn" spinoff series Kite Man: Hell Yeah! The official trailer above does a nice job of giving us a sense of where the series picks up from and the supporting cast we can expect. But the only thing we needed to know was if it had that "Harley Quin" vibe – and we can proudly say that if the clip above is a taste of what we can expect, we have another favorite animated series to add to our list.
Here's a look back at the previously released official teaser and overview of the 10-episode animated series Kite Man: Hell Yeah!, set to hit Max screens on July 18th – followed by EP Justin Halpern addressing how Harley Quinn and its spinoff series are similar and also what makes them unique.
Kite Man and Golden Glider take their relationship to the next level by opening a bar in the shadow of Lex Luthor's Legion of Doom. Nobody said serving cold ones to the most dangerous rogues outside of Arkham Asylum would be easy, but sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and how to hide a body.
Based on the characters from DC. Production companies, Delicious Non-Sequitur, Lorey Stories, and Yes, Norman Productions in association with Warner Bros. Animation, executive producers are Dean Lorey, Justin Halpern, Patrick Shumacker, Kaley Cuoco, and Sam Register. With Lorey & Rich's animated series, viewers can expect vibes similar to the "Valentine's Day," according Halpern. "'The Kite-Man' series is gonna hit some of the same vibes that the special does. It gets out there. It goes for it. They've done such a good job of making Kite Man and Golden Gliders lovable doofuses. Pat and I pitched 'Harley' as "It's 'Mary Tyler Moore' with a psycho killer at the front. But we've always talked about the 'The Kite Man' show as 'Cheers.' 'Cheers,' but for B-list supervillains."
