Netflix Releases Trailer For Dark Comedy Series, The End of the F**cking World
Netflix has released a trailer for their upcoming new series, The End of the F**cking World. Which seems like if John Hughes had done Dexter but set in high school. James is 17 and is pretty sure he is a psychopath. Alyssa, also 17, is the cool and moody new girl at school. The pair make a connection and she persuades him to embark on a road trip in search of her real father. The 8-episode series is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Charles Forsman. Though the graphic novel doesn't have the two asterisks in the title that Netflix has used. It debuted in England on Channel 4 back in October of 2017. The series was created and directed by Jonathan Entwistle.
The story is described by Netflix this way: This isn't your usual boy meets girl tale. Come join teenage outsiders James and Alyssa on a road trip like no other. Based upon the graphic novel by Charles Forsman. Cast: Alex Lawther (Black Mirror, The Imitation Game), Jessica Barden (The Lobster, Ellen, Penny Dreadful) Wunmi Mosaku (Damilola Our Loved Boy) and Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones, The Moorside).
The End of the F**king World premiers January 5th on Netflix.
