Run Time for 'Game of Thrones' Season 8 Episodes Released
HBO has released the run times for the final 6 episodes of Game of Thrones, and some of them are going to run faster than Gendry back to the Wall!
We've been hearing a lot about how the final season episodes will be longer, with some speculating that the episodes will have feature-length run times. We can finally put that rumor to rest after looking at the following list:
Season 8, episode 1: Air date: Sunday, 14th at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). I'm calling this episode "How I Met Your Mother… of Dragons"*. Episode 1 clocks in at a sleek and sexy 54 minutes.
Season 8, episode 2: Air date: Sunday, April 21 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) I'm calling this one "How to Train Your Drogon". Another quickie, clocking in at 58 minutes.
Season 8, episode 3: Air date: Sunday, April 28 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) Oooof, already ran out of Dragon movie puns. How about we call this one, uhm, "Nice Day for a White (Walker) Wedding". HBO says this episode will have a one hour, 22 minute run time. That will make this episode the longest of the season, but not by much!
Season 8, episode 4: Air date: Sunday, May 5 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). We're getting another long one, with a one hour, 18 minute run time. And I'm fresh out of clever names for episodes I haven't seen yet.
Season 8, episode 5: Air date: Sunday, May 12 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) One hour and 20 minutes, and I thought of another one! Let's call this episode "Jon Snowpeircer".
Season 8, episode 6: Air date: Sunday, May 19 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Another one hour and 20 minute affair, and will probably involve a lot of dead guys. And dragons.
It's hard to believe that Game of Thrones is coming to an end, but at least we can see it off in style!
Keep it here for tons of Game of Thrones coverage!
