Sandra Bernhard is Joining Season 2 of STARZ 'Sweetbitter'

One of the surprise shows for us this year was STARZ half-hour drama series Sweetbitter. Deeply moving with some extremely special performances, the 6-episode first season danced along our palate. Imagine our utter delight when STARZ picked it up for a second season.

Filming on season 2 is happening right now, at least according to a new cast member. Turns out comedienne Sandra Bernhard is joining season 2, at least according to her tweet.

This comes after series star Ella Purnell's post from earlier this month revealing the cast back together, with scripts in hand:

Sweetbitter is based on American author Stephanie Danler's novel of the same name, following young Tess on her solo journey from Ohio to New York City.  Tess begins a career in food, and the show aims to present her experiences in tantalizing sequences and asides.

We're very excited to have the series return, and we'll let you know when we hear when the second course may be served.
