The trailer starts off with Sonequa Martin-Green's Michael Burnham from Star Trek: Discovery as the voiceover, "We've always looked toward the stars to discover who we are" as it shows her face, her flying in the red angel suit, and a close-up of her face. As we transition to some flying aliens, we see Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) handling a butterfly coming the voiceover "to seek the unknown" before it shifts to a shot of Deep Space Nine and the nearby wormhole changing to a shot planetary side "that's why we're here". The video then cuts to Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner) from The Original Series running up rock-side before seeing his face as his voice continues "because there's no such thing as the unknown. Only things temporary hidden" as the trailer shifts to an overhead canyon shot of two clad in white with creatures scurrying.

As we see a shot of the cast of Picard exploring, the voice changes to Ethan Peck's Spock from Discovery, "There are moments that will test us." Another change to Anson Mount's Christopher Pike, "Be bold. Be Brave. Be courageous" as he's leading Discovery during season two. The next cut goes to a season one Picard from Next Generation saying, "Let's see what's out there." The voice shifts to Avery Brooks' Captain Benjamin Sisko from DS9, "We are explorers. We explore our lives day-by-day" as we're treated from other moments from Star Trek's past and present that includes more cuts of TOS, TNG, Voyager, Discovery, DS9, Lower Decks, Prodigy, Short Treks, Enterprise, and Picard. We get to hear more from Scott Bakula's Capt. Jonathan Archer, Burnham, Brent Spiner's Data from Picard, Picard, Spock, and Doug Jones's Saru from Discovery offering their share of wisdom.
