"Star Trek" Set to Beam Down to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con

Deadline just broke the news that the entirety of CBS All Access' Star Trek operation will be coming to San Diego Comic-Con, with a massive, nearly two-hour block of programming coming to Hall H on July 20th.

There is going to be a whole lot of Star Trek on hand, too. First at bat will be Star Trek: Discovery, which will have Sonequa Martin-Green on hand with executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Michelle Paradise, and Heather Kadin. Tig Notaro, who was my absolute favorite addition to the cast of Discovery's second season, will be the moderator for this first panel.

The first-ever look at Star Trek: Lower Decks will be up shortly after, with executive producer Mike McMahan bringing the goods with a potential of a couple of guests.

Alex Kurtzman will come back on stage after Lower Decks with Sir Patrick Stewart for the first-ever Star Trek: Picard panel. There's a lot of speculation about whether there will be a teaser or preview of Picard shown off at the panel (I would venture yes on that). Picard co-stars Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera and Harry Treadaway, plus new showrunner Michael Chabon, and executive producers Akiva Goldsman and Kadin will join this panel as well.

There will be plenty of Star Trek action going on outside the big Hall H program, too, with exclusive Trek trading pins, including one with the Picard coat of arms.

What might be the biggest draw, though, is a completely immersive Discovery experience, which may or may not include a transporter.

There will be a Jean-Luc Picard: The First Duty exhibit, which will have original props, costumes, and artifacts from the character's long history on Star Trek, which includes the remains of the Borg Queen.

We'll have an entire fleet of Bleeding Cool operatives on the ground at San Diego Comic-Con when it kicks off on Thursday, July 18th!
