"Stargirl": Courtney's Leap of Faith Will Help Her Learn Who She Truly Is [PREVIEW]

Over the past few weeks, The CW and DC Universe have done a great job of giving viewers some of the backstory built into Stargirl – smart move considering the show's Monday, May 11 (airing Tuesday, May 12, on The CW) premiere date will be here before we know it.

Up until now, we've gotten a sense of the relatiosnhip between Brec Bassinger's Courtney Whitmore and Luke Wilson's Pat Dugan – at least until the cosmic staff had its say.

Then, we watched as Joel McHale's Starman charged Pat with the responsibility of finding a worthy successor – a task that the cosmic staff feels more than worthy of doing, thank you very much.

Now, it's about seeing Courtney in action – showing why she's more than up to the task, and how taking this leap of faith has helped her find out who she truly is:

In DC Universe' Stargirl, Brec Bassinger's Courtney Whitmore finds her smooth-going high school experience derailed when her mother marries and moves the household from Los Angeles to bucolic Blue Valley in distant Nebraska. Based on the characters from DC created by Johns, Stargirl is produced by Berlanti Productions and Mad Ghost Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
