"Stranger Things 3": David Harbour & "Magnum P.I." – The "Passing of the 'Stache" We Need in Our Lives [VIDEO]
By now, we know a number of you have already taken your journey to Hawkins, Indiana, circa July 4, 1985, and as we can tell from quite a few of the posts on social meda it appears Netflix's Stranger Things 3 lived up to the season's tagline promise: "One Summer Can Change Everything." In the interest of full dislosure, we binge-watched all three seasons over the July 4th weekend (thanks for those mid-binge stretches, Netflix) – and let us state the obvious: David Harbour's Jim Hopper rocks on so many levels.
Since we're not in the business of spoilers quite yet, we'll just say that we'd follow Harbour to pretty much whatever project he works on – whenever that may be. That said, Harbour's latest Instagram post shares the series reboot that needs to happen (sorry, CBS) – dare we say a proper "passing of the 'stache" from Tom Selleck to Harbour?
If we can add our two cents? Randy Havens (Scott Clarke) as Higgins. Just sayin'…
If you haven't taken a deep-dive into the new season yet, the streaming service released two featurettes to get you ready. First, the cast gets you up-to-speed with a recap of the series' first two seasons; and then Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, and more take you on a behind-the-scenes tour of the new season:
"Stranger Things 3" Official Final Trailer/Episode & Date Announcement Videos:
It's 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer's heating up. School's out, there's a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group's dynamic, and they'll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town's threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they'll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.
