'Stranger Things 3': Summer 1985 Brings Tension, Danger in Official Trailer
Welcome to July 4, 1985, in Hawkins, Indiana, Stranger Things 3 fans – where "One Summer Can Change Everything" – and "change" is definitely what's ahead for the gang, as we can see from the first official trailer for the series' return.
Taking place during the summer of 1985 – several months after the events of last season found Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will (Noah Scnapp) and the others escaping (is that really even possible?) The Upside Down – a deadly dimension teeming with Demogorgons, Mind-Flayers, and more. Joining them once again for this next round of adventures are Winona Ryder (Joyce), David Harbour (Chief Hopper), Natalia Dryer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Sadie Sink (Max), Dacre Montgomery (Billy), and Joe Keery (Steve).

"We're not kids anymore. I mean what did you think, we were just going to sit in my basement all day? Play games for the rest of our lives?"
As expected, the trauma from past events combined with the gang growing up and trying to move on is creating some strains to some relationships (Hopper and Joyce need to work out). From there, new dangers arise (both very human and very not human), secrets are kept, and powers are embraced – during a summer that may literally change everything.
And let's not forget that sweet soundtrack…
Stranger Things 3 will introduces new cast members Cary Elwes as the mayor; Jake Busey as a local reporter; and Maya Hawke as an employee at the Starcourt Mall's (an important setting for the season) ice cream shop along with Steve. Priah Ferguson is set to return as Lucas' sister Erica Sinclair.
