Jordan Peele's 'Twilight Zone' Will Stream in Black and White
Twilight Zone is running full-force on CBS All Access right now, but something has felt off the whole time. They are fixing that however, as starting May 30th the entire first season will be streamable in black and white. The iconic original series was in black and white, and it seems only fitting that this one would be as well. Check out a trailer for the black and white episodes below:
Experience a new dimension on May 30 when all season 1 episodes stream in black and white, only on CBS All Access. Witness the re-imagining of the most iconic series of all time, hosted by Academy Award winner Jordan Peele by visiting cbs.com/TwilightZone.
Peele has gone on record that he was nervous to take on the daunting task of bringing one of televisions most iconic shows back to life:
"I was terrified. Why would I ever jump into the most established, pristine shoes in all of the genre? I could rip 'Twilight Zone' off and call it something different and not be compared to Rod Serling. So I stepped away from it. And then several months later I got another call.
The realization, for me, was that it was an opportunity to attempt to continue with Serling's mission. If we approach it without ego and sort of bow to Serling, that will hopefully suffice for our fellow 'Twilight Zone' fans but also bring back a show that I think is needed right now. Because it's a show that has always helped us look at ourselves, hold a mirror up to society."
The Twilight Zone is airing on CBS All Access right now. The black and white versions of the episodes will be available May 30th.
