WrestleMania 34: Seth Rollins Defeats Finn Balor and The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship

How excited am I that Finn Balor, Seth Rollins (who looked like a White Walker), and The Miz opened WrestleMania 34 tonight?! I'm crazy excited. I couldn't wait to see Balor on the grandest stage of them all.

The match opened with some drama, where The Miz got into an argument with The Miztourage and sending them on their way. Also, is The Miz cosplaying as Naruto? That headband would tell me otherwise.

Balor, however, made the best entrance of the evening, coming out to a group of fans wearing his new LBGTQ+ Balor Club Shirt, and even Balor himself rocked some serious LBGTQ+ accents on his outfit tonight. This was a powerful, positive message he sent out, and I loved it. Out of all of them, Balor had the biggest crowd reaction, and that's not my very biased opinion.

The three wasted no time going at it, showing off just how good all three of them are. The technical skill in this match was impressive. In all fairness, anyone out of this mach could have won and I'd have been happy about it.

This was a strong way to open WrestleMania. The Miz really went all out to try to retain his title, and I feel was the best performer in the match. This match was extremely exciting with a lot of close calls, and this is one of the best booking I've seen in a while. I was seriously on edge — I have not enjoyed wrestling this much in years.

In the end Seth Rollins took the win, which could make for a wonderful storyline between him and Balor.
