Aaron Paul Seems Much Less Certain Of Jesse Pinkman Making An Appearance On Better Call Saul
Aaron Paul took a little time from promoting his new film Hellion to do a bit of dream crushing. Even though both he and Bryan Cranston had seemed positive and hopeful and open to the idea of reprising their Breaking Bad characters on this fall's forthcoming prequel series Better Call Saul in the past, he now seems much less certain of this happening.
Talking to HuffPo on two separate occasions, he offers up two increasingly negative scenarios.
In the first interview, he says there are no plans for Jesse or Walt to appear in season one, but perhaps in future seasons:
Let's be honest, I don't think we're going to see more 'Breaking Bad,' but I hope we might be able to play our character again in 'Better Call Saul,' but that's not solidified. It's not set in stone, there's no plan of Jesse or Walt making an appearance in the first season of 'Better Call Saul.' [But] who knows? Maybe in the future seasons.
But later, perhaps after he got a talking to about giving people false hope, he was much quicker on the denial:
To be honest, it's not gonna happen. There's rumors floating around that I'm going to be doing it, but that's simply not the case. […] I mean, I'm trying to let it be on the record.
Like you, I'm going to keep hoping he's just lying and doing the deny, deny, deny thing but Jesse will still show up somehow. And I'm totally down to act surprised when he does. Whatever it takes.
