PAGE ONE
PANEL ONEAn English country vicar, elderly, at work writing a sermon in his vestry, next to a large plain glass window. It is night time and raining outside.
CAPTION: "You couldn't have said the Right Reverend Seeling was an evil man."
PANEL TWO
Close up on Seeling, lightning in the window behind him.
CAPTION: "Not like Hitler and his ragamuffins."
PANEL THREE
Seeling is startled, he turns round, looking.
CAPTION: "But the Reverend did look at the choirboys a little longer than was decent."
SEELING: "Hello? Who's there?"
PANEL FOUR
Seeling peers over his glasses, he is relieved.
CAPTION: "And, well, it was only a matter of him getting round to actually acting on his base instincts."
SEELING: "Oh yes, Miss Cranbourne. You were wanting to judge the cake contest…"
PANEL FIVE
Miss Cranbourne in silhouette, the rain behind her. She is small, elderly, tight permed hair, pearls, handbag, small hat. Her waistcoast is buttoned up. We can see her glasses in white, and the large meat cleaver she is holding.
CAPTION: "A stitch in time."
SEELING (OFF): That is certainly a large cake knife you're carrying…"
