Geek Bar Beta Hitting The Streets Of Chicago This Week!

Good tidings of the Geek Revolution!  While the greatly anticipated Geek Bar Chicago has not set a date for its full-time opening they have announced a two-month extended pop-up inside the former Storefront Company in Wicker Park. The aptly-titled Geek Bar Beta will be opening to the general public next Friday (October 3rd) after a private preview event on Thursday exclusively for GeekFleet members.

For those of you who haven't been following my evolution of a comic shop series the Chicago Geek Bar is, in my opinion, the next big thing to happen in the on-going tribal revolution of geek culture that all of us are just fortunate enough to be living in and hey, if that sounds hyperbolic then that's how you know I wrote it bleeders!

I've said I once and I'll say it again because I believe it: Geek Bar Chicago is the most ambitious geek-themed hospitality endeavor ever attempted and an example of what will become a worldwide trend that brightens the world for geek-kind forever. The visionaries behind this brazen enterprise are real-life heroes for having the guts to put this together and all you bleeders out there in the Windy City should get stoked to drain a tall glass of Zombie Monkie by Tallgrass there next week! Much like Chicago Geek Bar, the goal of Tallgrass is as simple and beautiful as the notion of drawing members of the geek tribe together under one roof to get to know each other over a few cold ones and delicious food.

The goal is simple…to bring people together over a great beer. We brew the beers you want to drink with your best friends.
