The 2000AD FCBD Comic Will Be Bigger In The UK Than In The USA

Last year, Bleeding Cool ran the story that 2000AD was being dropped from Free Comic Book Day 2016 over issues including the magazine size of the comic book.

That decision was reversed, after considerable lobbying from retailers and readers, but changes were made to ensure the decision. Including the comic being shrunk down to traditional US size.

But only in the US.

Rebellion, the publishers of 2000AD tell me "We're excited to once again be a part of this global event that means so much to retailers, publishers, and readers."

"With this year's change in the rule, all FCBD comics must be in US-size format. However, because we know our UK readers love and expect the size 2000 AD is at already, we've worked with Diamond UK to produce the standard edition for UK comic shops."

Compare and contrast…

There will be no change planned to the US size of regular issues – just the Free Comic Book Day version!
