Spotted in the wild (i.e. in the middle of filming the rest of the current series of Supergirl for the CW), the impish villain of Superman titles of old has been found!

But he's quite a bit different from what we may be used to seeing from the comics (though not so much old Superman show, Smallville).

This time, Peter Gadiot will be bringing the fifth-dimensional being to life on screen, coming up against the Maid of Might, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist). Gadiot is known for short-lived Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

Supergirl returns in the US Monday, 23 January, 2017.
