Next Week's Action Comics May Confirm The Rumour About The Identity Of Mr. Oz (SPOILERS)
Yesterday, Bleeding Cool ran a hot tip regarding the true identity of Mr. Oz in the Superman comic books. Picked up, still hot, from the smoking area outside the Hyatt hotel in San Diego, this tip suggested that the true identity of the man who has been both observing and messing with Superman's life, taking it apart and then putting it back together, is…well, you can read it yourself, if you don't mind spoilers.
But next week's Action Comics #984 may tell more. The issue features Jon using the Kryptonian Battlesuit to defeat Zod, with Mr. Oz using a telepathic link to guide him. He pretty much confirms to Jon that he is Kryptonian and has used/created the suit in the past.

It seems the current DCU may be revealed as a corrected timeline. After Parallax, post-Crisis Superman, and the others went back in Convergence and helped fight the Anti-Monitor at Crisis, they actually stopped the multiverse from collapsing and Barry Allen survived.
That set a course of events that is now the current DCU. It is 80% a repeat of the post-Crisis DCU, but some major and minor events went in a different direction due to the multiverse having never collapsed into a single planet for that period of time.
This is evident in Dark Days, as we see Batman has the tuning fork tower from the original Crisis. The Button also showed us events that were removed from the timeline after it was changed. Identity Crisis, Barry's death in the first Crisis, and parts of Infinite Crisis — none of which are canon, due to the original outcome of the Crisis being changed.
This will probably be sold as the DCU's "true" timeline, although I think a few tweaks are coming after Doomsday Clock (Martha and Connor Kent, maybe?)
