New Trailer For Marvel's The Punisher Is Bloody And Brutal
We finally got a new trailer for Marvel's The Punisher, and it is probably the most 90s thing to come out of comics since the Spawn movie. This is in no way a bad thing, since the Punisher is a character who fits in the mold of 90s comics very well.

We get a ton of new footage here, and a bit of a better idea of what the plot is. We see some of Micro and a few shots of Karen Page, as well. It's also good to see that they're not going to use the whole "everyone thinks the Punisher is dead" plot from Daredevil for the entire series. It looks like they plan to address it fairly quickly, which is probably a good thing.
A decent amount of these shots come from the teaser fans saw during Comic-Con International, including the shots of Frank playing the guitar with his son and taking the shot across the border to kill someone in Mexico. The whole enterprise looks bloody, brutal, and exactly what you want out of a Punisher series.
Also, great music drop.
We still don't have a release date (the trailer teases us yet again about that), but at this point, we might as well just accept it isn't coming until at least New York Comic Con at the beginning of next month.
The Punisher, from showrunner Steve Lightfoot, stars Jon Bernthal, Jason R. Moore, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Michael Nathanson, Jamie Ray Newman, and Amber Rose Revah. It will stream to Netflix sometime in late 2017.
