Big Changes For Viv Vision In Avengers #673 Crossover With Champions… (Final PAGE SPOILERS)

In the Avengers: Infinity War trailer that was shown at San Diego Comic-Con and later leaked, there is an aspect of one of the characters that is at odds with the way they are portrayed in the movie Thor Ragnarok, out last week in the UK and this Friday in the USA. Either there will have to be an explanation, or someone will have to do some interesting editing to the shown footage. That may also be the case with the current Worlds Collide series, as The Avengers and The Champions, both titles written by Mark Waid, crossover.

Because this is the cover of the next issue, Champions #14.

And this for Avengers #674

While her abscence from the cover of Champions #16 has suggested to some that she might be due a visit to the aluminium recycling centre.

But rather than dying, could she be going through a change?

And in today's Avengers #674, the last issue for the big No Surrender Marvel Legacy semi-revamp as the book goes weekly, we get a change inconsistent with these portrayals. As the High Evolutionary takes an interest…

And is rather insulting in the process. Not that he has discovered a problem without also having a solution.

And suggests it as one might in an Apple Store.

And, yes, presents as a black character now. As opposed to purple. And has freckles and bangs. ARe they going to have to redraw a few covers now? And does such a page make it more likely she will survive Worlds Collide… or less likely?
