Disney XD Erased Louis C.K.'s Voice from Episodes of Gravity Falls

When Louis C.K. was just a comedian who joked about stuff like obsessively masturbating in front of unwilling women, it was all fun and games to use him to voice a character in the Disney XD cartoon Gravity Falls called "The Horrifying Sweaty One-Armed Monstrosity." But once it was revealed that C.K. was actually obsessively masturbating in front of unwilling women, the joke apparently became less funny. According to a report from THR, Disney has dubbed over C.K.'s voice in two episodes that originally aired in 2015 and 2016.

"The role was re-recorded approximately one month ago and new versions of three episodes are now on the Disney XD schedule around the world," said Disney in a statement. "Series creator and executive producer Alex Hirsch is now credited as playing the character."

So now, viewers will only be horrified by a character that looks like Louis C.K. appearing in the cartoon, instead of being horrified by a character that looks and sounds like him. You can see the difference in these two clips below, the first with C.K.'s voice, the second without.

Gravity Falls isn't the first animated project to suffer because C.K. couldn't keep it in his pants. The FX show Cops was canceled, and The Secret Life of Pets 2 has to figure out how to deal with replacing C.K.'s voice for the character Max, even though the character's personality was designed to fit C.K. before its 2019 release date.
