Meet Jim Lee, this Afternoon, in Front of Vons… Selling Girl Scout Cookies
Do you live in Southern California and have not had a chance to meet comic legend Jim Lee? You can today… and buy some Thin Mints and Tagalongs at the same time. Lee posted on social media just a little while ago that he is going to be sitting at a table in front of the Vons on Laurel Canyon in Studio City from 12:30 to 2 p.m. PST today helping sell Girl Scout Cookies.
And if you're worried about it being inappropriate to show up while he's trying to do the 'dad-thing'… first, that is a good thought and you should be applauded for taking that into consideration. And second, he says in his post to bring along some comics and help a good cause. Obviously he's hoping that doing some signings might help boost cookie sales.
I will be tabling in front of VONS (yes, the grocery store!) today with my Girl Scouts from 12:30 to 2pm! 4033 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Studio City 91604. Come say hello, bring some comics and help out a good cause!
He doesn't mention doing sketches, and since he's only there for an hour and a half, I think just go with a couple comics and buy at least one box for each signature. And if you haven't tried it, I suggest freezing a box of Thin Mints — that is so good.
