Scott Lobdell Wanted Red Hood's Helmet Gone – Here's A Better Look at the New Costume and Logo
In Red Hood & The Outlaws #26, Jason Todd, Red Hood gets a brand new look, courtesy of Pete Woods, away from his iconic full-face helmet. The cover gave us our first shadowy glimpse.
With the alternate cover by Yasmine Putri showing the 'Red Hood No More' style image.
While the DC Icons cover to Red Hood & The Outlaws #27 plays more peekaboo.

I liked the idea of keeping his old domino mask-I wanted to make sure he looked like Jason Todd without taking everything away.
While also showing the final design…
And the new logo, a Bat-like image but incorporating the Robin domino mask and the shadow cat by his hood…
DC Nation #3 is published today. Red Hood & The Outlaws #26 in September.
