Twitch Unbans and Re-Bans Streamer Charged with Domestic Abuse

Twitch apparently made a mistake this week that angered the community when they unbanned MrDeadMoth, only to re-ban him a day later. If you're not familiar with the streamer in question, this is the Australian streamer who allegedly committed domestic abuse against his girlfriend live as he was playing Fortnite, and then was arrested by police after he deleted all of his social media and shut down his own Twitch feed. At some point, Twitch banned his account, but it came to light that his account was unbanned a few days ago. That set the community off who were, rightfully, pissed off that someone currently facing those charges was allowed to come back. The feedback was so bad, that within a day, Twitch re-banned his account.

The question currently circulating through the community that has yet to be answered, was what Twitch was thinking by unbanning his account? It would seem as if anyone currently under criminal investigation at that level of publicity probably shouldn't have access to a forum that bans people on a regular basis for simple things like playing copyrighted music or accidentally showing off their feet. For now, we're going to assume this was a mistake on their part with no ill intent, but man, was it a loud mistake.
