'What If Bendis Wrote Damage Control?' – Preview of Naomi #1 in Today's DC Comics

I talked about getting an advance look at Naomi #1, the new launch title from Brian Bendis, David Walker and Jamal Campbell, over the weekend. In today's DC Comics titles. Now you get a look as well.

I called it 'What-If-Bendis-Wrote-Damage Control. Lots of vox pops with population reacting to events, the superhero action happening above and beyond the people, who are left to clear up the mess it makes – and gossip about Superman, about what it all means and – in Naomi's case – getting rather annoyed that she missed it all.'

In these first few pages, you see big action splashes that are not reflective of the book as a whole but are there to provide contrast for the rest of the book. Which makes it odd to have them take up two-thirds of the preview. The third double page spread, that is far more reflective of what is to come. In issue 1 at least.
