"Another Life": Katee Sackhoff's Netflix Sci-Fi Drama Blasts Off This July [IMAGES]

Netflix has finally given viewers a launch date for its Katee Sackhoff-starring sci-fi drama Another Life, along with some first-looks at the series' "launch window" (we'll stop with the astronaut jokes now). Stemming from showunner Aaron Martin (Killjoys) and executive producer Noreen Halpern (Haven) and set to premiere on Thursday, July 25, Sackhoff leads the series as astronaut Niko Breckinridge. Leading a young crew on a mission to search for alien intelligence, Breckinridge faces dangers unimagined as her team seeks the genesis of an alien artifact.

Here's a look at some footage from the series in Netflix's "What to Watch in July" promo video (by the 1:20 mark), followed by a look at who's joining Sackhoff's Breckinridge when Another Life premieres next month:

● Selma Blair's (Heathers) Harper Glass is a 21st-century influencer who uses journalism, social media, and keen intelligence in an attempt to break one of the biggest stories in human history

● Tyler Hoechlin's (Supergirl) Ian Yerxa is the one-time commander of the space exploration ship who lost his post to Breckenridge

● Justin Chatwin's (Shameless) Erik Wallace is part of the United States Interstellar Command – and Niko's husband.

● Samuel Anderson's (Trollied) William is a holographic interface of a sentient A.I.

● Elizabeth Faith Ludlow's (The Walking Dead) Cas Isakovic is Niko's second-in-command and staunchest ally.

● Jessica Camacho (The Flash) portrays the exploratory spacecraft's brutally honest communications expert.

Alex Ozerov (Orphan Black), Jake Abel (Supernatural), and Barbara Williams (Rookie Blue) also star.
