"Lost in Space" Season 2 Takes to High Seas to Find Robot [OFFICIAL TRAILER]
With Netfix's Lost in Space returning for a second, 10-episode season this Christmas Eve, it might be easy to want to shrug it off as a "holiday present" that's cool – but you know what you're getting.
They're lost. They're in space. Thus, the show's title.
But in the final official trailer below, fans are getting a different feel and vibe this season – maybe in large part having to do with no longer needing to spend time on establishing a backstory.
As you're about to see, the main mission will revolve around Will and the Robinson family looking to find Robot its season-ending sacrifice. But as always, understanding – and surviving – their new ocean planet home is an ever-present goal. Of course, the planet is far from the only dangers facing them.
Did someone mention Dr. Smith?
Here's a look at what viewers can expect when Lost in Space returns on December 24, with new dangers and deadlier deceptions – and the very cool use of a spaceship as a righteously large sailboat:
There's more danger — and adventure — ahead for the Robinson family! With the Jupiter 2 stranded on a mysterious ocean planet without their beloved Robot, the Robinsons must work together, alongside the mischievous and manipulative Dr. Smith and the always charming Don West, to make it back to the Resolute and reunite with the other colonists. But they quickly find all is not as it seems. A series of incredible new threats and unexpected discoveries emerge as they look for the key to finding Robot and safe passage to Alpha Centauri. They will stop at nothing to keep their family safe… survival is a Robinson specialty after all.
Produced by Legendary Television, the Netflix original series Lost in Space stars Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio, and Parker Posey. Series showrunner Zack Estrin, Kevin Burns, Jon Jashni, Matt Sazama, and Burk Sharpless serve as executive producers.
