Hal Jordan Gets New Powers In The Green Lantern Season Two #1 (of 8)

We mentioned this was coming a little while ago. Hal Jordan getting a Green Lantern ring upgrade – with some new abilities. And The Green Lantern Season 2 #1 (now of 8) only scratching the surface of the new infinite set of powers that the ring seems to be able to access. I am reminded of when Grant Morrison gave someone in Doom Patrol every superpower you have never thought of, forcing the team to shout out superpowers in mid-fight to disarm their assailant.

So that includes new shrink ray abilities…

…and evolutionary wind-back abilities.

And a ring quite happy to (seemingly) take over the operations so that Hal Jordan doesn't need to read the manual. It's even more of a wishing ring than ever before, and the voice that of the genie within the lamp…

The Green Lantern Season 2 #1 is published today from DC Comics. I bought mine from Piranha Comics in Kingston-Upon-Thames. Piranha Comics is a small south London comic store chain with a small south-east store in Kingston-Upon Thames's market centre, which runs Magic The Gathering nights on Fridays, and a larger south-west store in Bromley, which also runs Magic nights and has an extensive back issue collection and online store.
