DC's hammerlock on the comic book news loosened a bit for the first time in 14 days, as Marvel fans got a taste of the kind of major breaking news they've been waiting for with the announcement of Joe Madureira and Zeb Wells on Avenging Spider-Man. I saw one fan say on twitter that it's just one book in the face of everything that DC has just announced, but remember — we're five weeks out from SDCC. There's probably much more where that came from. And it's quite a start.

DC deep a relatively good job of keeping much of the relaunch a secret until release. Some creators have told me that while they knew they were working on an issue 1 relaunch, or a new book, that they had no idea it was part of something bigger till they read it on Bleeding Cool. Some people didn't even know they were on a book until well after the relaunch had started to be announced.
Zeb added "This is the big super action movie of Spider-Man every month, with Joe Madureira on art… I think we touch on every Avenger in the first issue. Red Hulk is the main guest star, but they're all there."

I had missed his annual X-Mas party that weekend and figured he just wanted to catch up — it had been years since we spoke for more than five minutes at a time. When I got to DC the next day, I bumped into Jim Lee in the elevator and told him I was there to see Bob for lunch. He said "I know, I'm coming too."

See, Axel Braun doesn't just do superhero porn parody movies for Vivid, no that would be far too limiting. He does sci-fi ones too. And here is Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody. Nice costumes, I wonder if he got the 501st Legion involved at all?
Licensing Expo 2011 just opened in Las Vegas and attendee @theonlyesq has given us our first look at a promotional Avengers movie poster debuting there. Looks like a merchandising image rather than an actual movie poster, but a good look at characters and costumes for Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Hulk, and Black Widow — and still very cool.
The best info comes from Rick McCallum, producer of the prequels and the in-development show, in conversation with Czech Position. Recently, McCallum and Lucasfilm shot Red Tails in the Czech Republic, so the question arose about using the same resources and stages for the planned Star Wars show:
