43 Cosplay Shots And 6 Videos From East Coast ComiCon 2016
by Ray Flook
As a clear sign that the 2016 convention season is upon us, Crucial Entertainment held its annual East Coast ComiCon on April 16th & 17th at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, New Jersey. Celebrating its fourth year, East Coast CC continued to improve and expand with an impressive line-up of artists/writers ranging from Phil Jimenez, Simon Bisley and Mike Zeck to Mark Waid, Cliff Chiang and Bill Wray. For those interested in guests from across the pop-culture landscape, the show's line-up included names such as Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Nyota Uhura, Stark Trek), Sam J. Jones (Flash Gordon, Ted), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett, The Star Wars Trilogy) and legendary professional wrestler Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. This year's convention also boasted a wide-range of panel session topics, from learning how to pitch comics with Amy Reeder, Brandon Monclare and Steve Orlando; to a retrospective conversation with Don McGregor and Rich Buckler on their run on Black Panther in the 1970's. For the little ones, the "Kids Love Comics" schedule gave them a chance to flex their artistic muscles both on paper and on the screen…and even learn to defend themselves if they're ever confronted with an unexpected light saber battle!
Now here's what it was like from the show floor…
