A Highly Successful Video Game Enters The Comic Book World This Week: Dark Souls #1
I have heard so much about the Dark Souls video game over the last few years, and with the release of the third game last month, the popularity continues. Now it's time for this highly successful video game to enter the comic book world thanks to Titan Comics. Dark Souls #1, written by George Mann, with art by Alan Quah hits shelves this week.
So what is it? A tale of adventure and horror! The world of Dark Souls is a landscape bathed in arcane fantasy, where primordial forces govern the tides of time, bonfires flicker in the darkness, and the undead stalk the earth in search of impossible redemption. If you look at the art pages below, you'll be able to admire the beautiful detail amongst the panels. I love the mixtures of colors and layers throughout. The dialogue reveals a sense of the horror that will be included too. That last panel took me by surprise. I support this won't be for the scaredy cats amongst us. I'm sure this will be a fan-favorite for most on Wednesday. Be sure to pick up your copy of Dark Souls #1.
