One year ago, with the release of Batman/Spawn, comic book creator Greg Capullo told folks that he was now going to be working with Marvel Comics, first as a cover artist, then working on a Marvel comic.
Back in 2011, Greg Capullo was given the choice to draw Wolverine at Marvel or to draw Batman at DC Comics. He made the switch to DC with the New 52, written by Scott Snyder. At DC, he also worked on Batman: Last Knight On Earth, Metal and Death Metal to follow, and the Mark Millar book Reborn from Netflix and Image Comics. Greg Capullo used to work for Marvel on comics such as Quasar and X-Force, before his own creator-owned comic The Creech and drawing Todd McFarlane books such as Spawn, Angela, Sam & Twitch, and Haunt, as well as We Have Demons with Scott Snyder for ComiXology. Now Greg Capullo posts to Instagram, "After a quarter of a century, I'm laying out the first page of the story I'm doing for MARVEL! Im back home"
Looks as if it may involve some native folk in a jungle. The Savage Land, perhaps? But Greg Capullo still has a third series of his creator-owned comic Creech to do. Previously, he said, "My intention is to do some covers while I'm working on the Creech, do a project with Marvel and then what happens after that, I'm not sure. I talked with Scott about an original idea I have, we'll probably do something like that at some point." After previously posting "Mornings are for CREECHin' before starting in on my Marvel work.
