Arthur Ranson Comes to Orbital Comics in London Tonight For Exhibition

Today sees the opening of the latest show at the Orbital Gallery. It's a full retrospective of the artwork of British comics legend, Arthur Ranson.

And Arthur himself will be in attendance from 5 pm to sign copies of the deluxe new edition of Mazeworld from Rebellion Publishing, the dark fantasy he created with Alan Grant, that was serialised in 2000 AD.

The exhibition itself, which runs from Friday until the 5th November, spans Arthur's career. From his early biographical strips of The Beatles and Elvis Presley which featured in cult seventies British pop culture magazine Look In, moving on through fully painted pages from 2000 AD's PSi Judge Anderson, to covers and pages featuring other Ranson creations Button Man and the aforementioned Mazeworld.

In addition, Arthur is making available dozens of recent sketches featuring his own creations as well as other comic characters, all of which will be available to purchase.

And fine art printers Blacklist Editions have produced two high quality art prints, one colour and one black & white featuring fan favourite PSi Judge Anderson. These will be available on the evening, and throughout the duration of the show.

This exhibition has a special significance for Orbital Comics. Ten years ago, the first show opened in their gallery with Arthur Ranson's first exhibition…
