Avatar Plug of the Week: Dan the Unharmable #1
Tomorrow marks the launch of David Lapham's new series, Dan the Unharmable. According to Lapham, the titular character is "a bohemian homeless man… of simple needs who doesn't want more. He's uniquely qualified for the dangerous work he does (being a kind of private eye, or hired muscle) because Dan is completely unharmable. Physically and mentally, nothing can hurt him. Dan doesn't care about anything except maintaining his very happy low standard of living." But when he inherits a family he didn't even know existed, he suddenly becomes responsible for a handful of children who are all-too-vulnerable… and hunted some very deadly lowlife scumbags.
It's an ongoing series that Lapham has been developing behind-the-scenes for several years, a return to his unique brand of crime noir. Lapham had provided us with his own take on the series previously. Here's a taste of the first issue for you to sink your teeth into:
The first issue is available tomorrow with two cover editions, each illustrated by series artist Rafael Ortiz. These cover editions are Regular and Wraparound, each available for $3.99. Check 'em out:
