Batman to Have Knightmares Again Thanks to Joker War in June

Back during Tom King's Batman run, in the good old days of 2019, Batman had what we're pretty sure was a 47-issue arc where he was having "Knightmares," trapped in a fantasy world of endless torture. And we mean that for the readers. For Batman, it was just mildly inconvenient. At least, we're pretty sure it was 47-issues long. Maybe it was longer. In some alternate realities, the Knightmares storyline is still going on, Dan Didio is still DC Publisher, and King's run has been extended an additional 100 issues so he can fully explore his story ideas in extreme slow motion.

But in this reality, King has moved on, Didio got the ax, and Batman… well, actually he's having Knightmares again. This time its part of the Joker war storyline, and it's induced by a Joker toxin attack… though now that we think about it, inhaling a lethal dose of Joker toxin would probably be preferable to reading another long Knightmares arc. Plus, we hear it kills coronavirus. [Editor's note: Joker toxin has not been proven to kill coronavirus and Bleeding Cool does not endorse the use of Joker toxin for medical or recreational reasons.] Check out the solicits for June's Batman #96 and Batman #97 below.
