Bleeding Cool Bestseller List – 8th November 2015 – The Extraordinary Star Wars
This is the Top Ten Bleeding Cool Bestseller List, as compiled by a number of comic stores from their sales on Wednesday and Thursday. It measures what are known as the "Wednesday Warriors", those who can't wait to the weekend to get this week's comics. We salute you, and the keenness you bring to your passion.
And it seems an average issue of Star Wars now beats finale and relaunch of the big X-Men books now. Paper Girls does very well for a second issue, beating out every single DC title. And Deadpool doesn't do badly either…
- 1. Star Wars #11
- 2. Extraordinary X-Men #1
3. Amazing Spider-Man #3 - 4. Deadpool #1
- 5. Uncanny X-Men #600
- 6. Paper Girls #2
- 7. Dr. Strange #2
- 8. Invincible Iron Man #3
- 9. Batman and Robin Eternal #5
- 10. Justice League Darkseid War: Superman

Who had this to say,
Actually had customers comment on how many great books came out this week instead on groaning about how many came out. I guess that is what happens when good reading is offered instead on just an event.
that being said the reboot of Deadpool #1 was the clear winner, but Star Wars would have gave it a run for it's money if i had the action figure variant. The big surprise was Uncanny X-Men #600..it actually sold and in high numbers….it must be all the covers.
Sales were GREAT this week. However there is one Problem. Other than Paper Girls from Image taking the #1 spot, it was all marvel the rest of the way. Without Dc comics being at anytime relevant to our Wednesday's it's been tough to get people to buy more comics other than marvel.. Indies remain strong as Rick and Morty and Zim own the market for that crowd of customers. Next week is HUGE for us so prep time started on Friday.
Batman was the huge seller for me and Deathstroke is all but fumes now in my back-issue bin.
Solid week with 7 new #1 MARVEL titles, though we were not allowed to sell one of them. Vaughan almost made it on the chart twice with We Stand on Guard #5 coming in 11th place between our 10 locations.
Nice mixture of something for everyone this week!
Once again, Star Wars and Marvel are the top dogs in the yard. With the launch of Extraordinary X-Men and new Spidey, Iron Man, and the return of Uncanny X-Men, there was no way that Marvel wasn't going to get at least one of the top spots in our shop. The only new #1's that our customers didn't go for were Howard the Duck and Drax. Seems like the internet hype curse has stuck again….
Invader Zim is STILL going strong, with tons of new faces coming in looking for the series. Star Wars has started to pick up again, and we even sold out of the Dynamite Bond series. Seems like that's going to be the new sleeper hit.
Good sales week. A lot of titles selling good numbers. Marvel dominates as usual taking the top 6 spots. Spider-Man was #1 just beating out some licensed sci-fi book. Jeff Lemire's Extraordinary debut did very well. Uncanny #600, while taking the #5 spot didn't sell as well as I'd hoped. Oh, but don't worry, plenty of people who haven't read it are still more than willing to complain about it.
Paper Girls hasn't hit Saga numbers yet but its getting there. Strong sales for Monstress though it just missed making the list.
Batman & Robin Eternal is DC's highest charting book at #7. Sales have been steady on this one for us but we're less than a month in so we'll see. Darkseid War tie-ins make for DC's other best selling books at #9&10.
Christmas shopping is starting up so we're selling through tps of the usual "best of" lists.
What a great week for comics! Two Image titles in our store's Top Ten, one Dynamite title, one Oni title, and a whopping six Marvel titles. Too bad DC didn't publish any comics this week… oh, wait–they did! Alas, most readers didn't seem to care. Even Batman & Robin Eternal has dropped every week in our store, and now it's not even in the top fifteen. DC needs to go into crisis mode right away and figure out what to do to make their books entertaining and appealing; I've never seen a company shed readers like this!
Great interest in Daredevil and Supergirl–but since there's no current title for either, readers are having to pick up back issues to enjoy a character somewhat similar to the one they've been seeing on television…
