Charlie Hebdo Staff Ask For A Little Redistribution Of Ownership

And while much has been made of the money raised for injured and the families of the dead, some of those who escaped the gunmen's bullet are wondering if they could be due a share of the increased magazine sales.
Eleven employees have demanded that they receive an equal share in Charlie Hebdo in the light of its new found success. An editorial meeting will be held to discuss the issue, with lawyers recognising the desire of staff to have greater involvement, but not including ownership in that. The group of staff including Patrick Pelloux and Luz have hired two lawyers to represent their case.
Currently, Charlie Hebdo is currently split in ownership between the family of its late editor Charb, the hospitalised designer Riss, now the new director of the magazine, and 20% by co-manager of the magazine, Eric Portheault.
