A Comic Book To Lose Your Head Over, From Peter Hogan And Hunt Emerson

Peter Hogan (Resident Alien) and Hunt Emerson (Firkin The Cat) have a new comic book project together for Knockabout Comics, pages from which were debuted at the London Book Fair 2017 today.

The 144-page digest graphic novel Heads & Tales tells the story if decapitation over the centuries. Western art, history, religion and folklore are all riddled with stones about severed heads: how people lost them, how some of them were stolen from tombs. how some of them kept on living and wouldn't shut up From John the Baptist to Orpheus to Medusa to Jeremy Bentham, from the Celts to Shakespeare to Geronimo, from the Knights Templar to the guillotine to the Crossrail Skulls.

And now their stories are to be told in one volume. Knockabout Comics have yet to find a US publisher/licensor for the comic – but since Dark Horse reps were at the same Turnaround booth, they already publish Peter Hogan and Sergio Aragones – often compared to Hunt Emerson, I did suggest it might be a natural fit.

Anyway, here's a preview of a few pages…
