A Comic Show – Superman & American Gods
Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida, writes,
Hey Fandom, we have another great week of new comics! I'm loving this Superman Reborn story arc, and not just because I guessed the "who is Clark Kent" thing correctly. Supersons is Super Fun with the sons building their own kid rogues gallery. Batman #18 have Bane vs Arkham's inmates, and All Star Batman #8 by Snyder is the single best Mad Hatter issue ever! Batwoman #1 feels like the old Rucka run. Harley Quinn's first Rebith collection, Die Laughing, is out. And Warren Ellis' The Wild Storm #2 has officially won me over.
The Amazing Spider-man #25 is a giant size celebration of Spidey. It launches The Osborn Identity, but also teases what's next for Doc Ock and Secret Empire. Guardians of the Galaxy #18 was a good all Angela issue, but the big deal is who's coming and what she's warned about. And Miles Spider-Man is still on his date with Spider-Gwen.
Image's God Country is a huge hit, and issue #3 is here with a third printing of #1 as well. Sex Criminals #17 has the team hitting their groove again. Deadly Class volume 5 is freaking insane. Seriously even though the end of volume 4 felt like a series finale, and even if it pissed you off, you'll love this one! Neil Gaiman's American Gods #1 is out from Dark Horse, and I enjoyed the hell out of it even though I already read the book. And Boom Box's Coady and the Creepies is punk rock meets the paranormal. Punks not dead, but Coady may be.
