Dark Horse Preview: The Once And Future Queen Completes Its Story
Back in April we let you know that the Dark Horse series, The Once And Future Queen, was cancelling the last three issues and would be released as a trade. The first two issue had been published before the plug was pulled and re-geared for the book market. At the time the creators of the series addressed the change in a statement:
The comic industry is a fickle thing. The Once and Future Queen was well received by press and its readers, and while it was growing in market awareness, print efforts have been shifted to the book market so we can grow and reach our target audience.
The market is tough and it is very difficult to get attention for a new series. The fact that the creators and publisher kept at it is a sign of how much the believed in this project. And we end up with the unique situation of having this be 2/5 trade and 3/5 original graphic novel. That's kind of cool.
The trade will be released on November 1st.
