Exclusive Batman #78 Preview Shows How Much Catwoman Really Loves Batman

Throughout the next week, DC Comics will provide EX-X-XCLUSIVE previews of next week's comics to its compliant media partners, facilitating a quid pro quo relationship between comic book publishers and the media that covers them in which EX-X-XCLUSIVE access to content is given to sites which use it to drive clicks and revenue.

Bleeding Cool, sadly, is not a compliant DC media partner website. But we do have a Mysterious Benefactor, a cloaked figure who has provided us with early looks at DC's comics before DC media partners can run their EX-X-XCLUSIVES. It's unknown what the Mysterious Benefactor is after. Perhaps they want to upset the cosmic balance and bring about the end of the world? Perhaps they just like watching compliant media partner websites squirm. All will be revealed one day in Event Mysterious Benefactor! Probably.

Whatever the case, we've got a very early look at next week's Batman #78, in which we learn that Catwoman must really love Batman… because she'll tolerate him with a mustache. Our preview begins with a page harkening back to Batman and Catwoman's first meeting, way back in Batman #1. It then cuts to the present, as Selina has been nursing a beaten Bruce Wayne back to health while his other-dimensional father and Bane control Gotham City. We find Batman canoeing shirtless, and he's sporting his Matches Malone look, which… gross. But she's remarkably tolerant of it, which is, of course, a sign of the truest of loves.
