Fake News in Action in This Week's Captain America #9

Next week's Captain America #9 dives deep into the seedy underbelly of the journalism industry, as Alexa Lukin attempts to convince the Fact News Channel to run a story defaming the titular Captain America. You can watch this attempt to influence the fourth estate in the preview below…

Sadly, Fact News doesn't want to report the truth, even though everyone could see that Steve Rogers was a secret Nazi. Didn't he read Secret Empire? And sure, one could argue that that was technically an alternate version of Steve (despite the claims of Nick Spencer and Tom Brevoort to the contrary), but honestly, the signs were there even before Secret Empire. Didn't anyone read Avengers vs. X-Men? Captain America has always been a secret Nazi.

Journalistic integrity truly is dead, isn't it? If Lukin really wants to get the word out, she should just take it to Twitter anyway.

Captain America #9 hits stores next Wednesday.
