John Byrne X-Men, From A Time Before Issue 108…

You know, there was a time in comics before John Byrne drew the X-Men.

But that time period has just shortened slightly. Here, thanks to Barry Sandoval, is a page by Byrne before he took over drawing Uncanny X-Men.

Byrne writes "That's the splash page to an unfinished (and thus unpublished) Wolverine story I started for my own amusement (ie, on spec) before I was assigned to the X-Men's own title. I think it got as far as one more (unfinished) page."
