Just In Time For Christmas, The Return Of Rob Liefeld's Zombie Jesus

Rob Liefeld likes his comic books. And he's always working on one thing or another, some projects get twisted around in the telling. A Wolverine issue never published was redone as an issue of X-Force more recently. And planned comic project, The Assembled served as the inspiration for his current Kickstartered Brigade series.

And now, on the back of Rob Liefeld's success with the Christian book market for his Armageddon Now series, he is working on The Covenant: An Untold Tale From The Bible. And in doing so is reworking artwork from an abandoned webcomic, Zombie Jesus, though possibly with a more sensitive name.

Debuting in October 2010, 'Zombie Jesus' only ran for a few pages before stopping but it was definitely based in scripture, on reports of the dead rising from the grave in the period of Jesus' death. And… also giving us a Lazarus Vs Judas The Immortal battle.

And now, it's back. Well, it was a zombie after all… compare and contrast.

Whether the characters and events are still the same, we'll just have to wait and see!
