Kyle Higgins Tweets Nightwing: The New Order

The new Nightwing future DC series New Order has been announced. Writer Kyle Higgins has been tweeting a few answers. He writes,

Anyone who's ever heard me speak for more than two sentences probably knows that Dick Grayson is my all time favorite character.

It's a very different kind of story, but with the world and issues we're exploring, it HAD to focus on Grayson.

Just a few more things about Nightwing: The New Order and then I'll shut up :) In my opinion, Dick Grayson is the heart and soul of the DCU

His love, optimism, and belief in his fellow man is second to none. Which is why it's so unsettling that 20 years from now, he's become–

the face of the ban on metahuman powers. How does someone like him get to that point? What did he lose? How bad had the world become?

And how much better is it now?

Really, this is a story about how good people can come to believe in terrible things. It's a look at a possible future of the DC Universe–

Framed by Dick's relationship with his son, who looks at who his dad used to be– and who he is now– and wants to understand what happened?

We ALL try to learn about who our parents were before us. That includes their strengths, weaknesses, flaws…

We're a mirror for them as much as they are for us.

We're exploring a lot of ideas in this series, and @TrevorMc112 and I are both very proud of it. Hope you'll give it a shot!
