Laying on the Superhero Guilt Trip in Marvels Annotated #4 (Preview)
Marvels Annotated #4 hits stores this week, remastering the classic series by Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross. And this preview of the issue is all about Phil Sheldon laying on the superhero guilt trip, describing the lack of respect the citizens of the Marvel Universe have for heroes like the Avengers.
But if you think about it, aren't the people of the Marvel Universe right to mistrust superheroes? Not only are their battles constantly causing property damage and putting regular people in danger, but it seems like every other month a super-mega-crossover event shakes the Marvel Universe to its foundations, leaving nothing ever the same again.
Can you imagine how difficult life would be if the universe were shaken to its foundations every other month? Honestly, superheroes are more trouble than they're worth. Maybe that will be addressed in the bonus material?
Marvel's Annotated #4 hits stores on Wednesday.
